GV & Max # 6

Robberies, Cat Burglers, and Security Systems

Well, as some of you know over the last month or so, nearly every business in town has been robbed, including my building. There has also been a rash of cat burglaries, some have been reported, others haven't. I was hit there too, but it's not the first time. This particular attack bothers me more than any of the others that have happened over the years, because the burglar came into my room while I was asleep, took money out of my desk drawer ($3) and swapped it for money that was in my jeans pocket ($100). All without waking me up. Of course, my cat was totally useless at protecting my person or property. People have been stealing from my house for years, so I pretty much just shrug when it happens, but not this time. I don't even call the police anymore, because I don't usually notice right away. That means they get away with everything.

So, anyway, because of the latest rash of burglaries, everyone is racing out and getting camera systems. I'm not. Of course. I would be the one person who has to do things the hard way. Cameras can be defeated. If that's your sole protection, you are screwed. Especially if it is a group like those we're dealing with. Disable the camera and you can walk in and do whatever you want. What is my solution? A security system that combines my formidable creativity, with my knowledge of robotics. A system that not only can capture an image of an attacker, but one that can adapt itself to the attack or at very least let humans know that the attack is happening, or imminent. A system of such awesome versatility and power that I can't even tell you about it. Can I do it? Can I defeat the bad guys? Sure. Well, if I can get off my lazy butt, I can. I think I may finally be motivated enough, even though I really wish I didn't have to worry about it at all.
